Yes, potentially. FWA shares bandwidth across all users connected to a local cell tower. During peak usage times (like evenings), you may experience congestion and a temporary drop in speed. 

Installation is usually very simple, often marketed as "self-install." You receive a router/receiver device that you simply plug in and place near a window to receive the strongest signal. 

Unlike satellite, FWA is rarely affected by typical weather like light rain. However, severe weather (heavy snow, intense storms) or environmental factors that affect the cellular tower itself can potentially cause brief service disruptions. 

FWA latency is generally low enough for casual gaming (often 20–50 ms), making it much better than satellite. However, it is typically higher than Fiber (which can be <10 ms) and may not be ideal for professional or highly competitive gaming. 

For most residential services, the compact modem/router is installed inside, usually near a window facing the best signal. In some very weak signal areas, an outdoor receiver might be recommended. Ask your tech support agent for recommendations, if so this will increase the costs.

The service is tied to your physical address for billing and network management purposes. You generally cannot take your FWA router to a different city or state and expect it to function. With evolving technology we do have those type of systems available.
